Cecília Tarkovács Early Childhood Specialist, Parenting Coach

What’s it about?
A child’s very first enrolment at an educational institution marks a major change not only for the child but also for the parents, and it is not always easy to come to terms with. Making the decision to entrust your child to others (strangers), accepting that you’ll miss out on sharing the day-to-day experiences with them, and believing that being there will do them good… it’s certainly hard work. Parents may have a whole host of doubts and questions (both before and during the process), and in this online course we aim to address precisely these!
Throughout the course, I aim to take as practical an approach as possible, so I’ll be giving plenty of examples and preparing some extra material to help you find answers to as many of your questions as possible!
If you’d like to get a comprehensive overview:
- life in nurseries and kindergartens
- on the general rules for settling children into nursery
- the advantages and disadvantages of half-day or three-day nursery/pre-school
- about the behavioural changes your child is likely to experience
- as well as how to handle them correctly and confidently

Parents’ views
„It guides you on how to behave appropriately whilst supporting your child in uncertain situations.”
Mesi
„Settling into a new routine is quite a challenge for both parties; this talk is very much needed so that people can be a bit better informed and prepare themselves.”
Kata
„It was multifaceted and got straight to the point. A well-structured seminar. As a parent, it’s definitely worth taking part in. I really liked the fact that situations were examined from both perspectives (parents and teachers), and that you provided support to the teachers.”
Annamari
„If you’re still in the run-up to starting school, it’s a really good way to prepare. If you’re already there, it provides reassurance and clarifies any questions that may arise.”
Márti
„It provides a detailed description of the settling-in process at crèches and nurseries in Hungary.”
