One of the first settings for sharing toys is the playground. This is where concepts such as „shared”, „mine” and „his” first emerge, along with the conflicts associated with them. As parents, we often find ourselves at a loss as to how we should be present, set an example, and set boundaries for our child and/or on their behalf.

What is the ‘Playground Communication’ online course about?
Nowadays, bringing up children has become an increasingly isolated activity, which makes it easier for us to feel uncertain in social situations. Particularly at playgrounds, sharing toys and children of different age groups playing together can raise many questions for parents and about child-rearing. What can we expect from our children (depending on their age group), how should we set an example, where should we draw the line – perhaps in relation to others – and how do we communicate all of this?
The playground is the perfect setting for these conflicts, but it also provides an opportunity to clarify our boundaries and practise appropriate ways of communicating. This enables us to offer our child confident support, acceptable ways of expressing themselves and effective role models.

If you’d like to find out the answers to the following questions
- Is it mean not to share your toys?
- Can I decide on my child’s behalf what they should give?
- What should I do if he takes something that belongs to someone else, or if something is taken from him?
- What can I expect from each age group?
- What can I do about aggressive behaviour?
- How do I get the other parent to agree?

Parents’ views
„Informative, useful, interesting, and a great atmosphere. A really useful seminar – make sure you take notes so you can keep all this knowledge for later! 😊 I’ve been feeling more relaxed at the playground since I watched the seminar, because I now know how to react in different situations and don’t have to worry about it. There were lots of examples, and I also liked that there was some theory at the start about what we can expect from children, how they work, and so on.”
Emerencia
„It covers a wide range of important topics. It can be useful for anyone with young children, as it discusses how a child’s mind works in general terms. (E.g. boundaries, what can and cannot be expected, managing emotions, etc.)”
Dorka Cs.
„It was very informative, and it’s great that there’s a presentation and a recording to go with it, as we’ll definitely be referring to it again. It’s worth bringing your own examples too, because it’s really good to hear confirmation that we’re doing something right in a given situation. I liked the examples, and the way you project what might be going on in the children’s minds 😊”
Orsi
„The presentation was impressive; the topic was well organised and structured. I didn’t lose focus at any point, and the atmosphere was great. I got more out of it than I expected. I think many parents find it difficult to communicate at the playground, and this seminar would be very popular among mums” groups.😊”
J.T. Szasza
„It was a very thorough, comprehensive presentation, the core of which was helping us to understand young children and where they are in their physical and mental development. Everything that was discussed was a huge help, not just in playground situations, but in all other situations in life too.😊 It was great listening to Cili; she was extremely well-prepared and her delivery was light-hearted and fluid – the Prezi presentation was brilliant too! 😊 I found answers to all my questions in the presentation material.”
Szandi
„It’s a great help for parents in managing their children’s behaviour in social settings. I was impressed by the speaker’s expertise and the student as well. It’s definitely worth attending.”
